Writing blog articles that capture readers with INTENT takes more than just filling in the blank on some template. It requires thought, research — as my writing professor taught me — lots and lots of rewriting.

That's the bad news!

But there's also good news!

While there is no EASY BUTTON when it comes to writing a traffic-driving, influence building article or blog post, there are techniques and formulas that will get you from blank page to completed article in less time, and with less effort than you think.

For example …

The Barstool Technique

Imagine you’re sitting on a bar stool. The guy or gal next to you asks about your business. You respond by telling them all about your article’s TOPIC.

  What would you say?

How do you explain it to them?

What do they need to know or understand before you explain the details?

Nail that conversation, and you've got your article practically written!

This is a great technique, especially for a shorter blog article that needs to explain a process or otherwise educate a reader. But it is only one of several techniques that you can use to go from blank page to completed article.
